Tensor Processing Unit
Short Note : The Tensor Processing Unit (TPU), which is being developed by Google, can potentially improve the processing capabilities of computers significantly. The TPU will operate in conjunction with the Tensor Flow, an open source library of machine learning software from Google as well. The TPU, which will operate just like a CPU, will have machine learning capabilities unlike a CPU because it is integrated with Tensor Flow and that will increase processing power by leaps and bounds. Also, the TPU will use fewer computational bits which will allow more operations per second. As example of the power of TPU, Google says that TPU-driven computers can find all the text in the Street View database in less than 5 days. Also, TPU will be more energy efficient.
