Ans: As the name suggests, its a data linked to each other.At present the web contains huge amount of data which are mostly kept in html and they are not linked in any ways.So, if we want to use this huge amount of web data in an efficient way, we need to present it in a common format (RDF) and linked to each other.Linked data are represented as a URI. Linked data does not only represent data but it also represents the relationship among them which is most important.This collection of interrelated data sets on the Web is known as Linked Data.
